Introduction
Hydra Nation ("App", "we", "us", or "our") operates as a mobile application.
This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App and the choices you have associated with that data.
Information Collection and Use
Data We Collect
Authentication Data
- Email address (for account creation and sign-in via Supabase authentication)
- Authentication tokens stored securely
Health & Activity Data
- Daily water intake logs (glasses of water consumed)
- Hydration streaks and history
- Timestamps of water log entries
Game Progress Data
- Alien collection status and progression
- Coin/currency balance
- Game level and achievements
- Preferences for notification settings
Device Data
- Device identifiers (for authentication and data synchronization)
- App crash and error logs (for debugging)
Referral and Friend Data
- Your referral code and the account it belongs to
- A record of who referred whom, so referral bonuses are awarded once per account
- Friend connections you create, either by redeeming a referral code or by adding a friend's code manually
Shared Progress Data (only if you turn sharing on)
- A display name, taken from your account name or the first part of your email address — never the full address
- The number of glasses you have logged today and your daily goal
- The calendar date those figures relate to
How We Use Your Data
We use the collected data to:
- Maintain your user account and authentication
- Store your hydration logs and game progress on your own device
- Award referral bonuses and show the friends leaderboard, if you have chosen to share
- Display your progress and statistics
- Send push notifications for hydration reminders (with your permission)
- Improve app stability and fix bugs
- Comply with legal obligations
Data Storage and Security
- All data is stored on Supabase, a secure cloud database platform
- Your authentication tokens are stored locally on your device using secure device storage
- We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
- Your account is protected by authentication credentials that only you control
Sharing With Other Users
Hydra Nation includes a friends leaderboard. Sharing is off by default. Nothing about your hydration is visible to anyone else unless you turn it on in Settings → “Share progress with friends”.
If you turn sharing on, people you are connected to can see:
- Your display name
- The glasses you have logged today, and your daily goal
They cannot see your email address, your history from previous days, your game progress, your streaks, or anything else about your account.
If you turn sharing off, this information is deleted from our servers immediately. It is removed, not hidden, and you stop appearing on other people’s leaderboards straight away.
Friend connections are created when you redeem someone’s referral code, or when you add a friend using their code. Being connected to someone does not by itself reveal any hydration data — that only happens if you have also turned sharing on. Friend connections are removed when either account is deleted.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
Supabase
- Provides backend infrastructure, authentication, and database services

Capacitor
- Provides the framework for native iOS and Android functionality
- No personal data is sent to Capacitor
Permissions
The App requests the following device permissions:
Notifications
- Required to send hydration reminders
- You can disable notifications in your device settings at any time
Local Storage
- Used to store app preferences and session data locally
Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data by:
- Opening the App
- Going to Settings
- Selecting "Delete Account"
This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Your account is deleted from our servers, along with your referral records, friend connections, and any shared progress. Your hydration logs and game progress are stored on your own device and are erased from it at the same time.
If you no longer have Hydra Nation installed, you can request deletion the same way by emailing infohydranation@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account. We'll delete your account and all associated data within 30 days. See our dedicated account deletion page for details.
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete such information promptly.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including:
- The right to access your data
- The right to correct inaccurate data
- The right to request deletion of your data
- The right to opt-out of certain data processing

Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on the App and updating the "Last Updated" date.
